Q. OSMOSIS DRINKING WATER; WHAT DOES IT TASTE LIKE?

The taste of reverse osmosis water is similar to tank water but without the bacteria. The reverse osmosis system removes 95 to 98% of impurities with a taste like liquid air, many times the customers can't believe the improvement. Reverse osmosis water is similar to distilled water but tastes better, distilled water is almost devoid of oxygen, reverse osmosis retains its oxygen content.

Q. HOW WILL R.O. WATER AFFECT MIXED BEVERAGES?

Reverse osmosis removed the invisible contaminates (total dissolved solids) which allows the flavour of a beverage to not be contaminated with flavours contained in the water.

We have many customers that have coffee shops, we have one customer that has two shops 5 kilometres apart, one shop had excellent tasting coffee but the other shop had the same brand of coffee and machine but didn't taste as good as the other shop. The second shop was on a different water supply, shop 1 had water with a total dissolved solids (TDS) of 27 with shop 2 having a TDS of 160, a reverse osmosis system was installed in shop 2 and the taste problems were solved.

This type of problem happens all the time and some coffee shops just can't understand why a similar shop close by has better coffee with the same equipment and coffee supplier and of course the shop with better tasting coffee out sells the other, the shop with the better tasting water would no doubt have a reverse osmosis system supplying the coffee machine.

Reverse osmosis filters will also stop the scale build-up in the coffee machine.

Q. WILL THE QUALITY OF ICE CUBES INFLUINCE THE TASTE OF A DRINK?

Many people forget or don't realise that the water that ice is made from can contaminate the flavour of a drink with ice in it, if the water that the ice is made from isn't pleasant to drink then the ice will also reduce the quality of the drink that it is put in. If the water that the ice is made from isn't high quality then the in-put water can also be corrected with a RO filter system.
