PSI-021-5P-PI — 5-Stage Ionised Alkaline Reverse Osmosis System (PI Filter)
Introducing our newest reverse osmosis model with PI (Pi) filter technology, assembled in Australia from premium components sourced from the USA, UK, and New Zealand. The system delivers high-purity RO water then adds beneficial minerals (calcium, magnesium, potassium and trace minerals) and lifts pH for a smooth, alkaline finish. Built around a genuine DOW FilmTec 75 GPD (~300 LPD) membrane with a low ~1:1 waste ratio.
IONISED ALKALINE WATER IS SUPER HYDRATING
Our factory-assembled PI filters provide consistent media quality (no DIY packing), and are designed to raise pH — in typical use you can expect around pH 9–10 (source-water dependent).
Why Choose This System?
- 5-stage purification — RO with PI remineralising/alkalising final stage.
- Mineral restore — adds Ca/Mg/K and trace minerals for balanced taste.
- High pH — promotes alkaline output water (target ~pH 9–10).
- FilmTec 75 GPD (~300 LPD) membrane — faster fills at 50 psi; can increase with higher pressure.
- Membrane flush valve — recommended use every ~3 months to clear salt/calcium buildup and extend life.
- Low waste (~1:1) — efficient water usage.
- Built tough — QMP 300-HP 10″ housings (burst rated ~575 psi ≈ 4000 kPa).
- Includes PLV — 550 kPa Pressure Limiting Valve protects the system 24/7.
How It Works: 5-Stage Filtration
- Stage 1 — 1 µm sediment (Purtrex) removes dirt, rust & particulates.
- Stage 2 — Omnipure OMB934-5M carbon block reduces chlorine & organics.
- Stage 3 — DOW FilmTec RO membrane (75 GPD) removes dissolved salts (incl. fluoride), nitrates & heavy metals. Typical fluoride reduction ~95–98%.
- Stage 4 — PI Filter ionises, mineralises and raises pH.
- Stage 5 — Omnipure carbon post-filter final taste polish.
Inside the PI Filter (6 Media Stages)
- Stage 1 — Volcanic red clay ceramic balls: IR emission, negative ionisation; reduces harmful ions, energises water; helps reduce cluster size.
- Stage 2 — Mountain anti-oxidisation minerals (calcined lime silicate, mica, quartz): strong anti-oxidising effect; reduces negative ORP.
- Stage 3 — Granular magnetic tourmaline: softens/conditions mineral content, energises water; further reduces cluster size; stabilises negative ORP.
- Stage 4 — Granular phlogopite rock: adds K/Mg ions; alkalises; IR emission & negative ionisation; reduces cluster size.
- Stage 5 — White quartz ceramic balls: anti-bacterial function; mineralises (Ca/Mg); alkalises & energises.
- Stage 6 — Condensed Bio Life deep-sea mineral mix (with ionised deep-sea coral & porphyries): mineralises (Na/K) and increases/stabilises pH.
System Specifications & Features
- Membrane capacity — ~300 L/day @ 50 psi (350 kPa); may reach ~450 L/day at higher pressure.
- Minimum operating pressure — ~40 psi (272–280 kPa). Below this, an RO booster pump is recommended.
- Waste ratio — ~1:1 with integrated flush valve.
- Housings — QMP 300-HP 10″; burst rating ~575 psi (≈4000 kPa).
- Pressure limiting valve — 550 kPa PLV included (essential for under-sink systems under constant pressure).
- Main unit size — 49 cm (H) × 35 cm (W) × 14 cm (D).
Connection Types
- ½″ Flick-Mixer Braided Line — most common in modern kitchens. Fit the supplied adapter with the rubber washer, then re-attach the braided hose. Details/Instructions
- ¾″ Dishwasher Adapter — use the dishwasher cold-water outlet where available. Details/Instructions
- ½″ Tee Olive Fitting (Copper) — typical for older homes with separate taps. Details/Instructions
Storage Tank Options
- Available sizes — 4.2 L, 9 L, 12 L stainless steel (NSF certified).
- 4.2 L — 33.5 cm (H) × 20.5 cm ⌀
- 9 L — 39 cm (H) × 24 cm ⌀
- 12 L — 39 cm (H) × 29 cm ⌀
- Tanks can be laid on their side/back to suit tight installs; system includes ~2 m tubing on the tank line for flexible placement.
