- Also targets chlorine, pesticides, herbicides, and heavy metals including lead and arsenic.
- Uses a dual-stage filtration process for balanced performance and flow.
- Laboratory tested with results verified by a NATA-certified testing laboratory.
Filtration Cartridges Used
This system contains a matched twin cartridge set:
- Boss Fluoride Activated Alumina Cartridge
- Omnipure OMB-934-1MPB Carbon Cartridge
Replacement cartridge pack available here: Boss F02 Replacement Twin Pack
Important Sediment Note
This system does not include a dedicated sediment filter. If you are located in an area with higher sediment or colloidal material (Victoria in particular), we strongly recommend considering the BOSS F03 Fluoride Triple System .
Pressure Limiting Valve & Compliance
All Boss F02 systems are supplied with a 550 kPa pressure limiting valve (PLV) with dual check valves. This valve is a plumbing code requirement and is WaterMark certified to AS1357-2 (Licence No. 02596).
Supplying the correct PLV ensures the system operates efficiently and safely, while allowing better flow performance compared to many competing systems.

Real-World Fluoride Reduction Testing
Many fluoride cartridges quote vague figures such as “up to 90% reduction”. We prefer to publish real-world Australian test results.
Test water contained 720 ppb fluoride (0.72 ppm).
After 50 L Flush
| Test No | Flow Rate (L/min) | Fluoride Removed (%) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1.0 | 85% |
| 2 | 1.5 | 93% |
| 3 | 2.0 | 85% |
| 4 | 2.5 | 85% |
| 5 | 3.0 | 83% |
| 6 | 3.5 | 82% |
| 7 | 4.0 | 81% |
After 2000 L Flush
| Test No | Flow Rate (L/min) | Fluoride Removed (%) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1.0 | 93% |
| 2 | 1.5 | 82% |
| 3 | 2.0 | 75% |
| 4 | 2.5 | 69% |
| 5 | 3.0 | 63% |
| 6 | 4.0 | 57% |
Maintaining a moderate flow rate (around 2–2.5 L/min) provides the best balance between performance and cartridge life.
