This system may be plumbed directly into the steam sterilisation equipment. This allows the water to be diverted to a separate faucet providing abundant water for the thorough rinsing of instruments prior to their placement into the autoclave. The boss 031-Q4 avoids the administrative inefficiency and high cost of producing or buying bottled distilled water.
The boss 031-4Q utilises modern technology with on board monitoring equipment. Factory set to 2 parts per million the unit will tell you when the water is no longer pure enough to supply the autoclave system via audible alarm and flashing light. The monitor with alarm for 20 seconds every ten minutes until the deionization cartridge is replaced and has return back to a safe level to supply the autoclave.
The boss 031-4Q system contains a self seal valve head. What this means is you don’t need to turn the mains water off, as soon as you remove a cartridge it has a valve head that shuts the in-coming water off. A cartridge change could be completed in less than 2 minutes.
Replacement set of cartridges package or 3 cartridges inc sediment filter, carbon filter and DI filter - $135 (Typically replaced every 6-12months. DI (Q5655) cartridge will be whenever the alarm is heard)
All reverse osmosis systems require a minimum pressure of 40 psi (280kpa) with 50 psi (350kpa) or more is ideal. If you are unsure what your pressure is check with your local Council or water authority.
