This conversion kit is compatible with any twin system that uses either quick-connect fittings or Jaco gripper fittings (e.g., PuraTap™ system). It comes pre-installed with a 550 kPa dual-check pressure-limiting valve, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
It’s as simple as:
- Turn off the infeed water to the system.
- Cut the tubes on either side of the old system using the supplied tube cutter.
- Remove the old system and install the new one.
- Reconnect the tubes using the quick-connect fittings (just push the tubes in).
Once converted, the system will take standard-size 10-inch cartridges (actual size: 9-3/4”, commonly referred to as 10”). The kit also includes a housing spanner so you can easily remove the housings yourself.
Standard-size cartridges are competitively priced and constantly improving. For example, the new Matrikx PB1 carbon cartridge is chloramine-rated, with a chlorine capacity of 114,000 litres, a lead reduction capacity of 14,000 litres, and cyst protection. For full specifications, see the link below.
A pair of cartridges range from as low as $37.50 and can be optioned to various different types at the time of purchase.
If you would like extra replacement cartridges to suit the system they can be ordered here
NOTE
On 05-06-2020 we received a Lawyers letter acting for Puratap Pty Ltd making several threats so we need to make some things very clear.
We are told that you can purchase replacements for your PuraTap ™ system to suit their system from them and change them yourself.
It is up to you to judge which filters are superior or inferior by viewing the specification sheets provided on the cartridges that we sell compared to the original system, the cartridges that will fit the conversion kit at this page link, https://psifilters.com.au/collections/twin-undersink-cartridges with all of the filters at that page link fitting the twin conversion kit. You will need to obtain PuraTaps™ specifications from them.
You are also advised that using the conversion kit will void PuraTap™ warranties.
There is absolutely no relationship between PSI Water filters and PuraTap™ being completely independent of each other.
