PSI-004S Countertop Water Filter — Matrikx™ PB1
The PSI-004S countertop water filter uses the
Matrikx™ PB1 carbon block cartridge with a
0.5 micron rating for treatment of
Giardia and Cryptosporidium cysts,
plus lead and other heavy metals.
The PB1 is rated for up to 24,000 litres of chlorine treatment
and 10,000 litres of lead treatment, and now also provides
chloramine and VOC reduction.
The system comes complete and ready for installation.

How It Works
- Single-stage Matrikx™ PB1 carbon block — provides fine 0.5 micron filtration together with treatment for chlorine, lead, heavy metals, chloramine and VOCs, with cyst treatment claims for Giardia and Cryptosporidium as specified.
The countertop system connects directly to the aerator fitting on a compatible kitchen tap. The supplied diverter allows water to be directed through the filter when filtered drinking water is required, while the tap can still be used normally for washing and other everyday use.
Important: This system is not suitable for un-chlorinated water supplies.

Connection & Compatibility
These countertop systems are designed to fit a standard-size aerator thread.
- 13/16″ (21mm) where the thread on the tap spout is male
- 15/16″ (24mm) where the thread inside the tap spout is female, using the supplied adapter
If your aerator thread is not a standard size, the countertop system will not fit without a suitable additional adapter.
Because the system connects to the existing tap, there is normally no need to install a separate drinking-water faucet or permanently modify the sink.

Installation
The PSI-004S comes complete and ready for installation.
Remove the standard aerator from the kitchen tap and connect the supplied diverter fitting to the compatible aerator thread.
Before ordering: Check that your kitchen tap has a removable standard aerator and confirm the thread size. Non-standard, pull-out, pull-down and some specialised mixer taps may not accept a standard countertop diverter fitting.
